Role

Assistant Professor (Contractual):
Responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English or Political Science, engaging in research activities, and contributing to the academic development of the university.

Guest Faculty:
Engage in teaching specialized law-related subjects on a per-lecture basis, bringing practical insights and expertise to the classroom.nls.ac.in

Minimum Eligibility

Educational Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • Relaxation of 5% marks at the Master’s level for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-Abled categories.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
  • Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

Responsibilities

Assistant Professor (Contractual):

  • Deliver lectures and conduct seminars in English or Political Science.
  • Develop and update curriculum and course materials.
  • Engage in research and publish scholarly articles.
  • Participate in departmental and university activities.

Guest Faculty:

  • Conduct lectures in specialized law-related subjects such as:
