Role:
Transactional Lawyer specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Private Equity/Venture Capital (PE/VC) transactions.
Minimum Eligibility:
- Qualified LLB or LLM from a premier law school in India or abroad, eligible to work in India.
- 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in M&A and PE/VC transactions with a Tier 1 law firm.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and adhere to timelines.
- Solution-oriented approach with the capability to independently close transactions with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external clients.
- Solid understanding of a wide range of legal subjects, with the ability to identify issues and involve specialists as necessary.
- Commitment to staying updated on legal developments and serving as a subject matter expert.
Responsibilities:
- Commercial Contracts: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legally binding agreements on behalf of clients.
- M&A Deal Management: Conducting due diligence, drafting, negotiating, and closing deals; collaborating closely with business partners to resolve legal issues and mitigate liability risks.
- Corporate Governance: Building and leading compliance organizations; coordinating the development of compliance agendas; supporting compliance initiatives; conducting legal audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Venture Capital: Assisting startups or existing corporations in securing capital for business development or expansion, involving private or public financing.
