Job Title: Law Officer (MMGS-II)
Position / Job Type: Full-Time
Role: The Law Officer will be responsible for providing legal support and advice to the bank, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, handling legal disputes, and representing the bank in legal proceedings.
Minimum Eligibility:
- Age Limit: 25-32 years (as of 01.01.2025)
- Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) are entitled to a relaxation of 5%, requiring a minimum of 55% marks.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a practicing advocate or as a Law Officer in the Legal Department of a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Central/State Government or Public Sector Undertaking.
Responsibilities:
- Providing legal opinions and advice on various matters concerning the bank’s operations.
- Drafting and vetting legal documents, agreements, and contracts.
- Ensuring compliance with banking laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Handling litigation matters and coordinating with external legal counsel.
- Representing the bank in legal proceedings before courts, tribunals, and regulatory authorities.
