Role:
As a Legal Response Team Volunteer, you will be part of a specialized team responding to child sexual abuse cases reported during workshops conducted by Bachpan Save The Innocence. This role offers hands-on experience in child rights advocacy and legal intervention.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Law students passionate about child rights and legal advocacy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to commit at least 5 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in case documentation and preliminary response.
- Guide survivors and their families on legal recourse under the POCSO Act and other relevant laws.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities, including District Child Protection Units (DCPUs) and Child Welfare Committees (CWCs).
- Provide legal literacy sessions to school staff, parents, and students about CSA laws and reporting mechanisms.
- Support survivors through psychological first aid and legal assistance.
Location:
Hybrid – The work may require both online and offline involvement depending on the nature of the case.
Duration:
Minimum of 3 months.
