Role
Interns will assist in research, policy analysis, project documentation, and outreach initiatives aligned with the Ministry’s goals. They may also conduct pilot projects or micro-studies based on ongoing Ministry programs.
Minimum Eligibility
- Women applicants only
- Students, scholars, social activists, or teachers
- Must be associated with an academic or non-academic institution
- Applicants must be from Non-Tier I cities or rural India
- Age between 21 to 40 years
Duration and Batches
Each internship term is 2 months and offered in four batches annually:
- May–June
- August–September
- November–December
- February–March

Up to 20 interns per batch
Stipend and Benefits
- ₹20,000 per month
- Reimbursement of travel costs (3rd AC train / AC bus fare)
- Hostel accommodation on a sharing basis provided during the internship

(Applications are accepted from 1st to 10th two months prior to the batch)
Procedure to Apply
- Visit the Ministry of Women and Child Development’s official website and navigate to the Internship Programme portal.
- Submit the application online along with any required documentation.
- Once selected, a candidate cannot apply again for another batch.
