Position / Vacancies:

  • Additional Legal Adviser
  • Number of Posts: 02 (Two)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years.
  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognised University or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • Must have been a member of a State Judicial Service for not less than 13 years; or
    • Held a superior post in the legal department of a State for not less than 13 years; or
    • A Central Government servant with at least 13 years of experience in legal affairs; or
    • A qualified legal practitioner with equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice to the Government of India and its ministries.
  • Draft and vet legal documents, bills, and statutory instruments.
  • Represent the government in courts, tribunals, and other legal proceedings.
  • Review and interpret laws, rules, and notifications for consistency with constitutional and legal principles.
  • Coordinate with Ministries and legal officers to ensure compliance with legal norms.
