Internship Title: Legal Intern

Internship Type: In-person, full-time

Role:
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in legal research and the judicial process, working directly in the chambers of a sitting Supreme Court Judge. Interns will engage in:

• Researching legal issues and case precedents.
• Assisting in the preparation of case briefs and judgments.
• Observing courtroom proceedings and judicial deliberations.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Students in their 4th or 5th year of a 5-year B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. program.
• Students in their 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. program.
• Candidates from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research.
• Draft memoranda, briefs, and reports on assigned cases.
• Provide support in day-to-day judicial functions.

Location: Supreme Court of India, New Delhi

Duration: February 2025 – May 2025

Stipend/Benefits:
This is an unpaid internship. However, it offers invaluable experience in legal research, mentorship from a Supreme Court Judge, and exposure to the workings of the highest court in India.
