The JSW Centre for the Future of Law, established in 2024 at NLSIU Bengaluru with support from the JSW Foundation, focuses on advancing research and policy in areas such as law & technology, corporate governance, environmental law, health regulation, and legal system reform. The Centre collaborates with academia, government, industry, and civil society to promote interdisciplinary legal understanding.

Location / Mode:

Eligibility:

  • Students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme or relevant postgraduate programme
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated interest in Centre’s thematic areas (law & tech, policy, governance, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under deadlines
  • Must be available full-time on campus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in doctrinal, empirical, and policy-oriented legal research
  • Supporting data collection, coding, annotation, and analysis
  • Working on AI & Law projects (LLM evaluation, prompt design, dataset preparation)
  • Drafting literature reviews, memos, reports, and working papers
  • Assisting in events such as workshops, lectures, and conferences
  • Supporting administrative and coordination tasks

Duration:

  • Rolling monthly basis starting May 2026
  • Full-time commitment (40 hours/week required)

Stipend & Benefits:

  • ₹15,000 stipend
