As part of its trade finance initiatives, DP World established DP World Financial Services Limited (DPWFS) within the DIFC, regulated by the DFSA, to deliver trade finance solutions to SMEs, exporters, importers, and logistics companies worldwide.

  • Assistant Manager – Legal (Global Service Centre)
  • Reporting to: Legal Director, DPWFS

Position / Job Type:

  • Full-time
  • In-House Legal Role (Trade Finance & Financial Services)

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university (Bar admission is a plus)
  • 2–5 years of combined legal counsel experience (law firms, banks, financial institutions, MNCs, FinTechs, NBFCs)
  • Knowledge of banking & finance laws, trade and commodity finance
  • Experience in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional legal matters
  • Experience handling financial services legal documentation
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulations (including AML/CTF within DIFC framework)
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage high-volume work and prioritize effectively

Key Responsibilities:
Trade Finance & Documentation

  • Provide legal support on trade finance, logistics finance, and inventory finance matters
  • Draft and negotiate bilateral and syndicated trade finance transactions
  • Handle receivables/payables financing, import/export finance, draft discounting, commodities finance, and risk participation structures

Global & Regulatory Support

  • Support global trade finance initiatives and company set-ups
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal risk policies
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments

Stakeholder & Operational Support

  • Liaise with operations, risk, credit, compliance, treasury, and audit teams
  • Coordinate with external law firms and financial institutions
  • Maintain legal documentation, databases, and tracking systems
  • Draft and review contracts, policies, leases, and licenses
