Eligibility (Basic Qualifications):

  • 3+ years of legal experience
  • Experience across a mix of law firm and in-house roles
  • Experience in contracting and legal compliance review
  • Strong experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts
  • LL.B. from a recognized Indian university
  • Associate Membership (ACS) with ICSI with valid current membership
  • Experience interpreting and applying Indian laws and regulations in a business environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a high-growth technology company
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications, or cloud services
  • Understanding of intellectual property, competition, and privacy laws

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as legal counsel and company secretary for AWS India operations
  • Providing strategic legal advice to sales, marketing, product, and cross-functional teams
  • Managing corporate governance, including board meetings, resolutions, and statutory records
  • Overseeing regulatory filings and compliance under the Companies Act and applicable Indian laws
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Supporting contracting workflows and legal compliance reviews
  • Interpreting and applying Indian laws and regulations in a commercial context
  • Ensuring end-to-end corporate and regulatory compliance
