Eligibility Criteria:
- LL.B. from a recognized university (specialization or keen interest in Intellectual Property Law preferred).
- 2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in trademark law.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Excellent legal drafting and research skills.
- Familiarity with IP India’s online filing portal and e-filing processes.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Proficient in client communication and coordination.
- Team-oriented, professional, and collaborative attitude.
Practice Areas / Focus:
- Intellectual Property (Trademarks) — registration, prosecution, opposition, enforcement, and advisory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on India’s trademark registration procedures.
- Conduct availability searches and prepare reports for client advisories.
- Draft and file trademark applications and replies to examination reports.
- Attend hearings before Trademark Registry officers (physically or virtually).
- Draft and file oppositions, counterstatements, and evidence in opposition matters.
- Liaise with Trademark Registry officials for procedural updates and follow-ups.
- Ensure timely compliance with Registry communications and deadlines.
- Manage and update client trademark portfolios and filing records.
- Maintain effective client communication regarding status updates and case strategy.
