International Bar Association – A leading international legal body driving global legal reforms and professional standards. This role is part of the Accelerating Justice Delivery Project (AJP), aimed at studying judicial delays and proposing systemic reforms in India and beyond.

New Delhi (Connaught Place – On-site)

Position:

  • Consultant – Accelerating Justice Delivery Project

Position Type:

  • Contract / Consultancy (6–12 months | ~230 days engagement)

Experience:

  • 1–3 years PQE

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled Advocate with Bar Council of India
  • Litigation experience (original side preferred)
  • Experience in socio-legal research, project management, or data analysis
  • Excellent English drafting and communication skills
  • Ability to engage with international stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with IBA India Working Group and project stakeholders
  • Manage project execution, communications, and deliverables
  • Conduct interviews and collect inputs from legal experts (approx. 50 contributors)
  • Design research frameworks and questionnaires
  • Contribute to preparation of reports, handbook, and white paper
  • Assist in publication of AJP report and reform recommendations
  • Support engagement with judiciary, policymakers, and institutions
  • Potential involvement in implementation of reforms

Salary:

  • Consultancy-based (day rate – not specified)
