Eligibility:
Education:
- Minimum: Paralegal Certification or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a legal-related discipline preferred
- Advanced degree is a plus
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in legal services or legal bill auditing
- Prior legal bill review experience is mandatory
- Strong understanding of US federal and/or state rules of civil procedure
- Experience in one or more practice areas such as Insurance, Civil Litigation, IP, Corporate Law, or Banking
Required Competencies:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong proofreading ability
- Independent judgment and decision-making capability
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a global, matrixed environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently after training
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to learn and work with electronic legal billing and auditing tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and auditing electronic legal fee and expense invoices
- Ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines and legal standards
- Verifying UTBMS task, activity, and expense codes
- Making and documenting justified invoice adjustments
- Coordinating with Legal Invoice Analysts, QA teams, and management
- Supporting quality assurance reviews and reconsideration requests
- Conducting audit and data analysis to support performance metrics
- Assisting in development of SOPs, tools, and training materials
- Mentoring junior Legal Invoice Analysts
- Collaborating with AI and Decision Science teams to improve audit systems
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism
