Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal – A statutory appellate body under the Recovery of Debts and Bankruptcy Act, 1993, responsible for hearing appeals against orders of Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRTs) and ensuring legal compliance in banking and recovery matters.

Position:

• Law Researcher

Position / Job Type:

• Full-time (Contractual)

Age Limit:

• 21–30 years

Eligibility Criteria:

• LL.B. / Integrated Law Degree / LL.M. (minimum 55% marks)
• Degree from a BCI-recognized institution
• Strong knowledge of computer applications and legal research tools
• Good analytical, research, and drafting skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and analyze case files; prepare briefs and chronologies
• Identify legal issues and assist in case preparation
• Attend court hearings and take notes of arguments and citations
• Conduct legal research on case laws, books, and articles
• Assist the Hon’ble Chairperson in drafting judgments, speeches, and papers
• Prepare summaries and reports as directed
• Maintain documentation and assist in judicial work

Important Conditions:

• Full-time role (no legal practice or other employment allowed)
• Restriction on appearing before DRAT Delhi for 3 years post engagement

Salary:

• ₹60,000 per month
