Position:

Legal Content Specialist – Privacy & Data Protection

Eligibility:

LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognised institution
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a law firm, in-house legal, compliance, or legal publishing role
Experience in data protection law or ability to quickly develop regulatory expertise
Strong writing skills beyond traditional pleadings and contracts
Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal audiences
Strong research discipline and ability to verify primary sources
Familiarity with AI tools for legal research, drafting, and summarisation
Strong judgement in distinguishing legal information from legal advice
Bar Council enrolment welcome but not mandatory

Responsibilities:

Monitor global privacy and data protection developments, including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PIPEDA, and PDPA
Write regulation explainers, jurisdiction guides, compliance checklists, legal updates, and whitepapers
Review marketing and product content for legal accuracy
Translate regulatory obligations into product requirements with Product and Engineering teams
Support customer compliance queries escalated by Sales and Support
Review and maintain privacy policies, terms of service, DPAs, and vendor agreements
Prepare regulatory briefing notes for leadership
Work with external counsel on specialised matters
Contribute to bylined articles, webinars, and industry commentary
Support SEO, GEO, AI search, schema, and citation-focused content initiatives
