CCL is a multidisciplinary research centre at NLSIU that integrates research, field action, teaching, and policy engagement focused on child rights. It uses socio-legal strategies to advance transformative social change, ensuring dignity, justice, and improved quality of life for children—especially in the areas of food & nutrition, education, care, protection, and justice for marginalized children.

Eligibility & Requirements:
Essential:

Postgraduate degree (Law / Public Policy / Development Studies / Social Sciences or related field) with at least 55% aggregate marks
Minimum 5 years post-qualification work experience
At least 2 years of experience in policy or socio-legal research

Desirable:

Experience in the social development sector, particularly in food security, child rights, or related fields

Core Skills:

Strong socio-legal and policy research abilities
Qualitative and quantitative research skills
Excellent writing and analytical skills
Capacity for stakeholder engagement and training facilitation
Ability to work collaboratively with CCL team members

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct policy research on issues related to food security and child rights
Support ongoing research through tool development, data collection and analysis
Write research reports based on qualitative and quantitative findings
Support multi-stakeholder engagement with relevant state departments
Develop training modules and ensure quality and rigour in CCL training programmes
Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to NLS Blog and similar platforms
Carry out additional tasks as required for CCL’s ongoing work
