CCL is a multidisciplinary research centre at NLSIU focusing on child rights, integrating research, field action and teaching. Its work spans food & nutrition security, equitable education, child protection and justice, with a mission to ensure dignity and social justice for all children in India.

Position / Vacancies:

  • Research Associate – Centre for Child and the Law (CCL) — 1 position (1-year full-time role)

Job Type:

  • Full-time, Contract (1 year)

Eligibility:
Essential:

  • Postgraduate degree in Law / Public Policy / Development Studies / Social Sciences or a related field with 55% minimum aggregate
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience, with minimum 2 years in policy or socio-legal research
  • Strong ability to write high-quality research reports
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Capacity to work both independently and in collaborative teams
  • Logical thinking, precision and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience in food security, child rights or social development sectors
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and skill sets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist ongoing socio-legal and policy research projects under CCL
  • Support training, advocacy and field-based initiatives
  • Contribute to research on themes related to the right to food and nutrition
  • Collaborate closely with CCL colleagues on research outputs and programme activities

Salary Range:

  • ₹75,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month, based on qualifications and experience
