Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) — One of India’s major ports, located at Headland Sada, Goa. The Authority plays a vital role in maritime trade and is inviting applications for in-house legal positions to support its legal operations.

Position / Vacancies:
- Senior Advocate — 1 Post (approx.)
- Junior Advocate — 1 Post (approx.)
Job Type:
- Full-time (In-house, Contractual)
Eligibility Criteria:
Senior Advocate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B. or Integrated Law Degree) from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Minimum 4 years of experience under a Senior Lawyer, Law Firm, or through independent practice.
- Experience in drafting various legal documents.
- Strong legal writing and computer proficiency.
Junior Advocate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B. or Integrated Law Degree) from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Minimum 2 years of experience under a Senior Lawyer, Law Firm, or through independent practice.
- Experience in drafting various legal documents.
- Good writing abilities and computer skills.
Practice Areas / Focus:
- Legal drafting and advisory
- Contract and regulatory compliance
- Representation before judicial/quasi-judicial authorities
- Litigation management and coordination
Key Responsibilities (indicative):
- Draft and review agreements, notices, contracts, and legal opinions.
- Represent the Port Authority before appropriate courts and tribunals.
- Provide legal advice on port-related operations and compliance issues.
- Conduct research and prepare legal reports.
- Liaise with external counsel and internal departments.
Compensation / Benefits:
- Senior Advocate: ₹50,000 per month
- Junior Advocate: ₹30,000 per month
