Eligibility / Minimum Requirements:
- LL.B. from a recognized institution (LL.M. is a plus).
- 4–5 years of litigation experience at a reputed law firm or chamber.
- Ability to read, write and speak Kannada and English (mandatory). Knowledge of additional Indian languages is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of civil, criminal, IPR, procedural laws, ADR and general corporate/commercial litigation.
- Excellent courtroom advocacy, drafting, negotiation and legal research skills.
- Leadership skills for mentoring junior lawyers and handling client relationships.
- Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Manupatra, SCC Online) and case-management software.
Role / Nature of Work:
Senior litigation role responsible for managing and overseeing litigation matters end-to-end — drafting pleadings and legal briefs, appearing in court/tribunals, developing litigation strategy, advising clients, supervising junior team members, and contributing to business development and firm representation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee litigation files across civil, commercial, criminal, corporate, TMT/startup and IP matters.
- Draft pleadings, written submissions, legal opinions, applications and settlement documents.
- Appear and argue before courts, tribunals and regulatory forums; conduct cross-examinations and oral arguments.
- Formulate case strategy, conduct in-depth legal research and prepare hearing bundles.
- Ensure compliance with procedural timelines and filings.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in ADR/mediation when required.
- Mentor, review and supervise work of junior associates and interns; provide internal trainings.
- Maintain regular client communication and provide strategic legal advice.
- Support business development efforts: networking, conferences, thought leadership and client pitches.
