Position:

  • Senior Employment Counsel / Legal Lead (Employment & Governance)

Experience:

  • 12–16 years (Employment law, corporate governance, and cross-border advisory)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • LL.B. from a recognized university (LL.M./CS or governance qualification preferred)
  • Extensive experience in employment law and corporate governance
  • Strong expertise in Indian labour laws and multi-jurisdictional (APMEA) matters
  • Experience handling high-stakes matters (investigations, restructurings, senior exits)
  • Strong stakeholder management (Board, CXOs, HR leadership)
  • Knowledge of POSH, whistleblower frameworks, and data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, DPDP)
  • Experience in compliance programs, legal frameworks, and global policy development
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as lead advisor on complex employment matters across India and APMEA
  • Set regional employment law strategy and monitor regulatory developments
  • Design and manage employment frameworks, SOPs, and governance structures
  • Oversee investigations (POSH, whistleblower, employee disputes)
  • Partner with HR and leadership on people strategy and compliance
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives on compliance, privacy, and workplace conduct
  • Manage external counsel and legal vendors
  • Mentor legal and HR teams and build internal capabilities
  • Advise Board and leadership on governance and compliance matters
  • Oversee Board processes, meetings, filings, and statutory compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Companies Act and regulatory requirements
  • Strengthen corporate governance and reporting frameworks
