Position:

  • Senior IP Legal Specialist

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum 4+ years of substantive IP prosecution experience at a major law firm, corporation, or IP management company
  • Experience with IP docketing systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in IP docketing software and related tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education Requirements (any one of the following):

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 3+ years legal experience + 3+ years industry-specific legal experience
    OR
  • Paralegal Certificate + 3+ years legal experience + 3+ years industry-specific legal experience
    OR
  • High School Diploma + 6+ years legal experience + 6+ years industry-specific legal experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the IP docketing system and ensure accuracy of deadlines and records
  • Monitor and track intellectual property deadlines across multiple jurisdictions
  • Conduct quality review of patent applications and filing documentation
  • Manage patent prosecution formalities in US and foreign jurisdictions
  • Process and review incoming IP correspondence
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel
  • Prepare IP activity reports and portfolio summaries
  • Support IP portfolio development including filings and renewals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IP initiatives
