Role:

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for managing legal aspects of the business, particularly commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation. The position includes ensuring legal compliance, protecting intellectual property, conducting legal research, and advising senior management on business strategies with legal implications.

Minimum Eligibility:

Graduate or postgraduate degree in law (LLB/LLM).
Preferred additional qualifications in intellectual property or related legal domains.
2 to 7 years of legal experience, preferably in a global services or corporate setting.
Proficiency in US and international contract law.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word for legal document drafting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong legal research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and maintain various types of contracts such as service agreements, NDAs, MOUs, reseller and master service agreements.
Negotiate contracts and finalize legal documentation in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage legal documentation and maintain an organized repository of agreements.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Provide researched legal opinions and strategic counsel to the company’s leadership.
Oversee intellectual property matters including patent searches and trademark filings.
Create and manage templates for commonly used legal documents.
Train junior legal staff and support other departments on legal matters.
